Real Hope for “Little Andry”

Natalya Dilakovskaja had given very little thought of immigrating to Israel. She eventually married Alexander and after several years Natalya gave birth to their long-awaited child, Andry. As any parents, they were happy for the birth of their son. Their joy was not long lived. Little Andry was diagnosed with heart disease which demanded urgent surgical intervention.
The baby was one year old which caused concern and worry for Natalya and Alexander but they were expecting improvements in Andry’s condition, which did not come. Now they were faced with yet another serious crisis. During the operation, Andry had a stroke which caused a paralysis of the right side of his body.
After an unsuccessful operation the stroke caused many long trips and great expense due to doctors, hospitals, polyclinics & drugstores. Andry’s health condition drained the family finances as well as their own physical and emotional strength. Most of all this showed them the negligence and indifference of the doctors of Moldova to Andry and his illness.
Natalya heard from her friends almost daily - “Go to Israel, only there in your native land of Israel will your child receive the medical care he so desperately needs.” Natalya and Alexander prayed for the opportunity to move to Israel, but all their money was spent on treatment and medicines leaving them nothing for their departure.
Natalya learned of an organization called Ezra International which could help with their needed finances. With Ezra’s help, Natalya began to gather the needed documents. Once completed, Natalya began to worry if Andry could sustain the flight. The family was encouraged by the fact that in Israel, they have the cure for their son with the help of competent and attentive doctors.
Natalya and her husband Alexander express their deep gratitude to Ezra employees and its sponsors for all the assistance they received. With great joy they are now in Israel and little Andry is receiving the help he so desperately needs.
